If you see anywhere on the internet that you have to pay a $10 tourist tax before landing in Bali — just ignore it.
No one asks, no one checks! Total scam.
Bali’s waves are sneaky and unpredictable.
One strong wave can sweep away your bag, phone, slippers... or even YOU.
Be extra careful, especially if you're solo.
Thinking of swiping everywhere?
You’ll be charged 3% extra at most restaurants and 5% extra at small shops selling tours or ferry bookings.
Grocery stores don’t charge extra, though.
If you plan on exchanging the currency in the city:
Only exchange currency at authorized dealers — the ones that deal only in forex.
Ignore shops that also sell tours or souvenirs — better rates, but more scams.
When booking ferries or tours, pick the option with hotel pickup & drop.
It’s way more convenient and usually cheaper.
